Around the Industry: Michigan Shop Wins Pioneer Quick Lube Store of the Year
Pioneer Quick Lube, the nation’s 3rd largest independently owned Pennzoil 10 Minute Oil Change chain, recently announced the winner of their Store of the Year Award.
The winner, shop manager, Tracy Ignace, and his Pennzoil shop in Midland, Michigan, have a history that began in the late ‘80s. The shop’s location on Washington Street was one of the first quick lubes in the area, as well as in the state of Michigan, when Fred and Carol Bentley opened the business in 1982.
After getting his start with Pennzoil in Flint, Michigan, Ignace joined the Washington Street, Midland team in 1989 and has been with the shop ever since.
“Tracy has been a super long-term employee who has gotten better and better,” said Scott Killenbeck, Business Operations manager for Pioneer Quick Lubes. “Tracy has a great attitude and his shop’s customer service has been excellent. He is a good motivator and we’ve seen a turnaround in their profitability as well as an increase in their sales.”
Ignace credits his success to his love of the work saying, “It’s the customers that I really like and we’ve got a great bunch of guys working here.”
Pioneer Quick Lubes and B&B Oil own and operate 24 Pennzoil quick lube centers throughout Michigan and Ohio.
