A Big Month for the Industry
September was a big month for our industry. Pat Wirth, AOCA president for the past three years, sold her business and stepped down from from AOCA (for details see page 80). Jimmy Grant, a former NOLN Operator of the Year and vice president of AOCA, stepped up to take over as president and all is well. Don’t miss our leadership profile on Jimmy Grant in this month’s issue on page 34. For those of you who would like to meet Jimmy in person, he will be at the AOCA Owner’s Summit taking place in Phoenix, Arizona, from October 15-16. Contact AOCA at 800.230.0702 for more information regarding the Owner’s Summit schedule, hotel information and registration.
Pat Wirth has worked tirelessly and faithfully for our industry, and we will miss her tremendously. You can read more about Pat’s contributions in this month’s AOCA column on page 80.
However, I am confident that we are still in good hands with AOCA’s current board of directors, and that their leadership will keep our industry headed in the right direction. Show your continued support for AOCA by signing up as a member (if you haven’t already), and then make an effort to become more involved! Keep on lubin.’
