Christmas in November
Christmas is coming a little early this year for automotive aftermarket professionals around the world — 43 days early to be exact. November 5 through November 8 automotive professionals will have the chance to attend Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW) in Las Vegas, Nevada. For many of you, waiting for this event is like waiting for Christmas morning when you were a kid. Attending AAIW provides the opportunity to meet with industry leaders, talk about the latest and greatest technologies, and have exclusive access to leading suppliers and manufacturers in the automotive world.
One of the largest and most anticipated events of AAIW is the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo. This year, the expo runs Tuesday, November 5 through Thursday, November 7 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. AAPEX attendees can walk through the Sands Expo Center where all of the best automotive aftermarket products will be showcased under one roof. AAPEX characterizes the $477 billion global motor vehicle aftermarket and the 130,000 professionals who attend AAIW. The expo connects industry pioneers, wholesale distributors, retailers, service chains, jobbers and service professionals, resulting in priceless knowledge and billions of dollars of purchasing power in one place, at one time.
Nearly 39,600 targeted buyers are expected to attend AAPEX this year. These buyers are broken down into 23 categories including: mass merchandiser, carwash, diagnostic center, service station, mail order/catalog, oil and lube center, machine shop, heavy-duty truck wholesaler, fleet buyer, tool and equipment dealer, paint/body/equipment jobber, import specialist, paint/body/equipment wholesaler, engine builder, online/ecommerce, independent vehicle dealer, franchised vehicle dealer, tires and parts wholesaler, tire dealer, collision, independent repair garage, auto parts retailer and auto parts wholesaler.
Nearly 2,400 exhibitors and 5,000 booths are expected to be presenting. Included among those are manufacturers and suppliers specializing in automotive systems that include: air conditioning, automotive lighting, electrical systems and batteries, cooling systems, friction and brake systems, undercar, new and remanufactured replacement parts, suspension and front-end, engine and transmission parts, appearance chemicals and functional fluids, equipment and tools, computer system and software, paint and body, and retail warehouse fixtures.
The expo would not be possible without primary sponsorships from the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association. Additional support for AAPEX is provided by the Auto International Association, the Automotive Industries Association of Canada, the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association, the Engine Rebuilders Council, the Motor and Equipment Remanufacturers Association, the International Heat Transfer Association and the Overseas Automotive Council.
