Red Line Synthetic Oil Sponsors Ultimate Track Car Challenge
Red Line Synthetic Oil recently announced sponsorship renewal of the 2010 Pirelli Ultimate Track Car Challenge (UTCC) presented by Grassroots Motorsports Magazine.
The event — which pits a variety of extreme performance vehicles against the clock and each other at Virginia International Raceway — is an extension of Red Line Oil's relationship with the motorsports publication by offering participants on-site technical assistance and product support from one of road racing's most prolific drivers.
Red Line has also arranged for James Clay — owner and lead driver of the BimmerWorld Grand Am BMW team — to provide insight on lubricant choices for track day/road race applications like you experience in this event. This input will allow UTCC competitors to further develop their cars with the latest race-proven Red Line Synthetic Oil and provide insight from a top-ranked pro driver on his home track.
"We have a long-standing relationship with the Grassroots Motorsports and we appreciate all the hard work and dedication competitors put into their UTCC entries,” said Kelly Kerrigan, Red Line’s director of Motorsports. “We want to help in any way we can, both through providing the best possible products and offering the help of a veteran driver at one of the most challenging tracks in the country. With Red Line guys like James Clay and Camaro-legend Mark Stielow entered with his latest project, it should be a lot of fun.”
