Shell Awarded Ferrari Prize - September 2010

Shell Awarded Ferrari President's Prize

Royal Dutch Shell was recently awarded the 2010 President’s Prize by Ferrari “for ongoing successful technical collaboration.”

The prize was given to Shell in recognition of its work with Ferrari in both the Formula 1 and road car arenas, and is based on product technical quality, results, relationship excellence and superior cooperation. It is the second time Shell has received this prize since 2007.

Ferrari’s president, Luca di Montezemolo, presented Shell with the prize at the traditional Ferrari Podio event in Ferrari’s hometown of Maranello, Italy.

The Ferrari President’s Prize is one of just four accolades presented by Ferrari. The winners are selected from over 250 partners and suppliers. Selection of the winners involves an exhaustive process in which all Ferrari departments are consulted.

Shell first began working with Enzo Ferrari in the 1930s and powered Ferrari to its first ever Formula 1 win at Silverstone in 1951.
