Michigan Lube Shop Celebrates 30 Years in Business

Quality Lube Oil Change and Auto Repair in Auburn Hills, Michigan, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Founded in 1981 by Terry Braun, a former mechanical engineer, the independent oil change and auto service facility continues to be a family-owned-and-operated business.

“We appreciate our many loyal customers who have made us one of the top volume drive-through oil changes in the United States. The Auburn Hills/Rochester area is a great community, and we have had 30 wonderful years,” said Braun, who continues to serve as president of the company and business he founded three decades ago.

Braun said when he first started the business, the corner of Squirrel Road and East Walton Blvd. where the shop is located was in an area dominated by cornfields. In fact, Squirrel Road was a single-lane dirt road for much of its length. Today the area is largely suburban.

As part of its anniversary celebration, Quality Lube gave away tickets to a recent NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway to one lucky customer.
