Bendpak Rolls Out Dynamic Wheel Balancer
Bendpak recently introduced its newest wheel balancer, the Ranger DST-1200.
The DST-1200 adopts the latest 16-digit signal processor and single-chip architecture, providing a boost in performance and accuracy. Data communicates at blazing speeds, but the DST-1200 consumes less power and features a better rate of heat dissipation than ever before. Users also have the convenience of multiple methods for inputting wheel parameters.
On the new machine, the calibration process is easy. Both static and dynamic calibrations can be made automatically through a superior photocell sensor, allowing original data to be accessed after each use. Unique wheel parameter data can be saved in the system, and the user can perform incremental distance and parameter diameter adjustments.
Also, it only takes six seconds for the LED display to recommend the correct minimum weight and placement to achieve optimum balance.

Bosch Releases BAT 110 Battery Tester
Bosch recently added a new battery tester to its line of diagnostic tools.
The BAT 110 uses state-of-the-art conductance technology to provide quick and accurate, load-free testing of most types of 12-volt batteries and can test batteries as low as 5.5-volts. The BAT 110 also incorporates a temperature compensation feature to aid in battery test results that are extremely accurate. Using the test battery for power, the BAT 110 requires no internal batteries.
The tester is also capable of diagnosing 12-volt charging systems and starters. The BAT 110 features a high- and low-voltage storage function when checking charging systems, and a low voltage storage function when testing starters.
The four-button keypad makes the BAT 110 quick and simple to use. The large, four-digit LED screen displays the voltage and CCA readouts quickly and clearly, while three LED indicators show battery condition in an easy-to-read way: green is good, yellow is marginal and red needs replaced.
