In 2018, more than 4,600 free oil changes were performed and a total of 927 vehicles were repaired through Christian Brothers’ National Service Day with referrals from 385 partner organizations.

Oct. 14, 2019—Christian Brothers Automotive is pledging to give back to communities across the country through its coordinated service event. On Oct. 12, over 180 stores in the brand’s network donated oil changes and other free services to individuals in need as part of its ninth-annual National Service Day event.

“National Service Day is an incredible opportunity for us to give back and stay connected to the communities we serve. Each year, this event allows us to take one less worry and stressor away from our neighbors who are experiencing a hardship,” said Christian Brothers President Donnie Carr. “By partnering with local churches and other organizations, we’re able to provide oil changes at no cost, while technicians also examine cars, perform free repairs and identify safety concerns.”

Launched in 2005, National Service Day has become a keystone of the brand as the entire company now takes part every year. Built as a way to positively affect local communities, franchisees coordinate with local organizations and churches to identify community members who would benefit from free oil changes or other services.
