March 11, 2020—Citizens of Madison County in Mississippi are reflecting on a destructive storm that hit the county last Wednesday that's left many homes and businesses destroyed, reports the Clarion Ledger.

After 10 years in business, Parkway Quick Lube and Tire Shop in Gluckstadt, Miss., was nearly leveled in a matter of minutes, with the install bay and sales office taking the brunt of the damage, according to the report.

Parkway's shop manager and part owner, Gordon Foil, said it will take several months to rebuild the business, but his 13 employees will be "taken care" of.

The storm hit the county early Wednesday, March 4. The National Weather Service said the early morning storm was likely due to straight line winds.

When a destructive storm like this hit a Kansas quick lube this summer, the owners were luckily prepared for an instant recovery. Here's how they did it.
