June 3, 2020—Wal-Mart is officially closing all of its tire, lube, and express car repair shops throughout Canada, reports Motor Illustrated.
A group of 106 stores across Canada is set to close as Wal-Mart sets to move away from automotive maintenance and repairs, and focus more on food, consumables, health, and general merchandise.
Some stores, however, will continue to offer car maintenance services through its partnerships with Mr.Lube.
This move will affect 550 employees, but most will be retained, the report said.
