VIOC Adds 27 Stores Through Acquisition

Dec. 2, 2020

Valvoline announced the acquisition of Mister Oil Change Express locations, which will be rebranded as company-owned and franchised service centers.

Dec. 2, 2020—Valvoline announced that it acquired 27 Mister Oil Change Express locations from Car Wash Partners, Inc.

The deal will add stores in seven states to the Valvoline Instant Oil Change brand, according to a press release. Fifteen will be company-owned, while 12 will become VIOC franchise stores.

The acquisition doesn't include any car wash properties.

"Valvoline will purchase their quick-lube centers while they will continue to operate the car wash portion of their business," said Tony Puckett, senior vice president and president of Valvoline quick lubes, in the release. "The footprint of these 27 centers, located in diverse markets across the country, also allows Valvoline to support our franchise partners to expand their existing store base much quicker than if they chose to build. We look forward to welcoming the approximately 260 Mister Oil Change Express team members into the Valvoline family."
