Honda has developed a mask that fits over a vehicle's cabin air filter that fights coronavirus.

Jan. 6, 2021—Honda has developed a mask that fits over a vehicle's cabin air filter.

Called the "car mask (kurumask in Japanese)," it's made of small thorn-like protrusions, according to Autoblog. Honda says it can remove 99.8 percent of airborne coronavirus droplets within 15 minutes.

The replacement interval for the product is around 9,320 miles.
