Jan. 20, 2021— Bosch launched a new line of EVO spark plugs on Tuesday designed to meet the demands of turbocharged gasoline direct injection engines, the company announced in a press release.
In an attempt to ensure a longer service life, the spark plug features an improved insulator design and high dielectric strength greater than 45 kV. It also features iridium alloy on the center and ground electrodes for high wear resistance.
The first release of the EVO spark plugs will be for modern gasoline direct-injection engines in Mercedes-Benz vehicles and will expand from there.
