Father, Son Fix Cars for Charity

The nonprofit, Drive On, picks up cars that need work from local charities and fixes them up.

May 3, 2021— Sam Kuzmishin, 16, and his father, John, started a nonprofit in Akon, Ohio, to fix cars that are owned by local charities.

The Pittsburg Post-Gazette reports that Kizmishin founded the nonprofit, Drive On, so that charities can focus on their main work and not whether or not their vehicles are reliable.

The pair put about 30 hours of work into the first vehicle, a Buick Rainier, and donated the parts and labor costs. They're working to get a full-size garage to grow the work.
