Fremont East Entertainment District, between Las Vegas Blvd and 8th St

Located in the heart of downtown, the Fremont East Entertainment District is one of the most popular areas in the city. 

A six-block district featuring shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and live entertainment, Fremont East is a pedestrian-friendly area that prides itself on diverse street life that is also close to the Fremont Street Experience, a nightly light and audio show.

Whether it’s a comedy show, rooftop bar, a speakeasy or great shopping, Fremont East has just about everything a visitor could want.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, 1000 Scenic Loop Dr.

Las Vegas is home to some of Nevada’s best regional and state parks. Not quite 20 miles west of downtown, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is a nearly 200,000 acre outdoor paradise. 

With a 13 mile scenic driving loop and more than 30 miles of hiking trails, as well as cycling, horseback riding and other activities sponsored by the park, Red Rock Canyon is a go-to destination for people looking to get out of the city for a bit. 

The park itself is open every day until dusk with park-sponsored activities available through its visitor center.

Hollywood Cars Museum, 5115 Dean Martin Dr.

A must-see for any car or movie enthusiast, the Hollywood Cars Museum is home to many of the most famous cars from the silver screen.

The 30,000-square-foot museum has vehicles from more than 100 movies and TV shows, with classics such as five cars used in the James Bond franchise, the DeLorean from Back to the Future and vehicles from newer films such as the Fast and the Furious and Batman franchises.

Located right at Interstate 15 and Highway 593, the museum is a quick shot from downtown.

The LINQ Promenade

Another open-air entertainment district, the LINQ is a popular venue right along the Vegas Strip.

The promenade is anchored by the High Roller, a 550-foot-tall Ferris wheel, and has several unique attractions in addition to a large variety of bars, shopping and dining venues. 

Live comedy shows and casinos also provide several entertainment options for visitors, making the LINQ another go-to destination for a night out in Vegas.

Fergusons Downtown, 1028 Fremont St

Less of a traditional commercial district than other entries on this list, Fergusons Downtown is a whole city block celebrating local artists. 

Anchored by the recently renovated Ferguson’s Motel, the neighborhood is “cultivating a diverse and inviting community that fosters creativity and passion,” according to its website.

Featuring a vibrant music community and local markets as well as restaurants and shopping that promote different events, Fergusons is a lively community that  provides a fun and engaging night out.
