Dec. 17, 2021—Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Wednesday announced one of its franchisees, Ivy Lane Corporation, acquired nine quick lube facilities in the greater Chicago area.
According to a news release, the shops were formerly Oil Express and will be rebranded as VIOC shops. Employees of Oil Express will still remain at those stores.
“Oil Express was a pioneer in the Quick Lube space, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to acquire a legacy brand within our industry," Ivy Lane COO Shannon Griffith said in the release.
With the acquisition, Ivy Lane now operates 55 Valvoline quick lube locations throughout the midwest.
