Aug. 2, 2022—Tom's Car Care Center of South Bend, Indiana, recently hosted its seventeenth annual Lube-A-Thon fundraiser event.
According to ABC 57, a long stretch of cars sat outside of Tom's Car Care with the drivers awaiting their opportunity to contribute to a good cause. Donations were collected for the Center for Hospice Care, which provides hospice care to anyone regardless of their ability to pay for treatments.
Those who made a $45 minimum donation received a free car wash, oil change, breakfast or lunch, a t-shirt, and other favors.
In addition to automotive services, there were also vendors at the event selling many different kinds of items such as soaps and keychains.
All of the donated funds went to the Center for Hospice Care, and all of the automotive services were provided by Tom's Car Care. The event ran for one day on Friday, July 29.
