Sept. 22, 2022—A Maryland Meals on Wheels Volunteer has been honored by Jiffy Lube for her service.
According to Nottingham MD, Kathi Howard will receive one year's worth of free vehicle maintenance from Jiffy Lube in recognition of her volunteer service with Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. Howard is a resident of Reisterstown and has been a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for 32 years.
“Jiffy Lube is dedicated to giving back to our local community through our effort to Drive to Do More. Our collaboration with Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is united by a mission of driving health and hope to those facing senior isolation and hunger,” said Pete Blauvelt, President of the Jiffy Lube Baltimore Co-Op, according to Nottingham MD. “We are excited to recognize and honor Kathi for her tremendous dedication and commitment to serve others. And, it is our pleasure to help maintain her vehicle so that she can focus on her passion of serving others.”
Jiffy Lube is also offering a discount on vehicle maintenance services to Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland volunteers and staff. Additionally, Jiffy Lube is running in-store fundraising for the organization during the month of October.
