Discount Tire Acquires Land for New Headquarters

Development of the new headquarters in Phoenix will happen in phases. 

Jan. 3, 2023—Discount Tire has acquired land in Phoenix for a new corporate headquarters, according to a press release. 

The 35 acres were purchased by Discount Tire at an Arizona State Land Department public auction. Proceeds from this sale are going to be invested by the state in the Permanent Land Endowment Trust Fund to benefit K-12 education in Arizona.

The plans for the new corporate headquarters include over 300,000-square-feet of office building and campus amenities, according to the press release. Development will happen in phases. It will be one of the largest economic development deals in recent history for Phoenix. Discount Tire has been headquartered in Arizona since 1970.

"We are pleased to acquire this property in Phoenix and begin work on an innovative, sustainable workspace that honors and strengthens the culture on which our company was founded. Together with the support of our partners at the City of Phoenix, Arizona Commerce Authority, and Governor Ducey's office, we are grateful for the opportunity to make more dreams come true."

The land will feature the Discount Tire offices and also to the offices of The Diane & Bruce Halle Foundation, which is a philanthropic resource provider in Arizona that was launched by Discount Tire founder Bruce Halle and his wife Diane.
