Feb. 2, 2023 – Strickland Brothers 10 Minute Oil Change will be opening a new location in Kokomo, Indiana, according to the Kokomo Tribune.
It will be located at 1816 E. Wheeler St., off of Indiana 931, and will feature two bays and a lobby. Before construction may begin, the company must first gain approval from the Kokomo Plan Commission, which will vote on the development plan on February 14.
Assuming the project is approved, project developer Justin Furr says construction will begin this spring and finish later this year. After it is built it will be another of several quick oil change services in Kokomo, including Valvoline Instant Oil, Take 5, and two Jiffy Lube locations.
Furr said the Strickland Brothers’ Kokomo location will be corporate-owned as opposed to being a franchise. Thanks to funding from private equity firm Princeton Equity Group, the company currently has over 100 locations in the U.S. with plans to expand to as many as 242 by the end of 2024.
