Ashland Inc.’s Valvoline Instant Oil Change business – the nation’s second-biggest quick-lube chain – has opened four new company-owned service centers in the Dayton, OH area.

These new service centers are located at 1239 Bellefontaine St. in Wapakoneta; 1275 E. Ash Street in Piqua; 1222 Scioto Street in Urbana; and 661 Wagner Ave. in Greenville. Together, Valvoline Instant Oil Change now has seven new service centers in Greater Dayton. The company opened the seventh new service center in the Greater Pittsburgh area in May this year.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change service centers offer a stay-in-your-car solution for preventive maintenance needs. These include full-service oil change, transmission, radiator, gearbox and air-conditioning services, tire rotation, wiper blade, air filter, light bulb and serpentine belt replacement.

Most of the locations provide fuel system and battery services. Also, store technicians are trained with an ASE-certified program to work on all vehicle makes and models, including luxury and diesel vehicles.

Ashland's shares rose 1% to close at $113.10 on Dec 4.

Ashland offers specialty chemicals in more than 100 countries. With the closure of its Water Technologies unit sale last year, the company now has three commercial units – Specialty Ingredients, Performance Materials and Valvoline.
