Stellantis to Exit Operations in Russia

Stellantis will shut down a Russian plant amid the country's invasion of Ukraine.

March 7, 2022—Stellantis will end operations in Russia, including a plant operated with Mitsubishi.

The Detroit Free Press reports that CEO Carlos Tavares announced the change, saying that disruptions to supply chains and western sanctions toward Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine have upended business.

Tavares called this Russian operations a small part of the overall company. The plant produced Opel, Peugeot, and Citroen models.
