NOLN Operator of the Year Award

For decades, National Oil and Lube News has recognized elite quick lube shop owners with its annual Operator of the Year Award.

Since 1989, the NOLN Operator of the Year has been presented to operators who excel in all aspects of shop ownership—from business performance to staff leadership to community involvement.

Nominations for the 2026 NOLN Operator of the Year Award will open in January 2026.

Rules

To qualify for the NOLN Operator of the Year, nominees must own a quick lube facility, either an independent business or franchise location. Anyone can nominate a deserving professional, and you can make multiple nominations. Single- and multi-site operators are eligible.

NOLN Operator of the Year Award nominations are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated exceptional business performance
  • Personal or professional achievements
  • Examples of staff leadership/mentorship/professional development
  • Examples of community involvement
  • What makes the shop owner stand out from his/her peers

Once selected, the NOLN Operator of the Year winner will be honored with a profile in NOLN and featured on the magazine's cover.
