Aug. 11, 2020—A quick lube shop has been featured in the local paper for its creative marketing efforts.
For years, the name Becky has been a staple on the sign at Lube Quick in Hamilton, Mont., and the reason behind it was recently highlighted in the Ravalli Republic.
According to Becky Brough, who idols the iconic name, says the first sign came about after her persistence to change the letters on the sign. One day, her husband, and owner of the quick lube, Tim Brough, put up, "Becky says change the sign." According to Becky, customers went crazy for it.
Signs have said everything from "Becky says Peace Rules" to "Becky needs a new pair of shoes, so get your oil changed," with its most recent sign saying "Like Becky, your car needs maintenance."
The Broughs have owned Lube Quick since 1998 with Tim doing the services and Becky in charge of the bookkeeping.
