March 7, 2022—For the first time since 2008, the average price of regular gasoline topped $4 per gallon, the Associated Press reports.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine has disrupted the oil trade and sent prices upward. An analyst for GasBuddy told the AP that Americans should prepare to pay more for gasoline than ever before.
The all-time average high for a gallon of gasoline was $4.10 in July 2008.
