Plans for a new Take 5 Oil Change in North Providence, Rhode Island, will be moving forward—with revisions, reports The North Providence Breeze.
The new store would be located at the corner of Mineral Spring and Malcolm Street. Though the applicant, David Grande, and his team had revised the proposal, it still did not meet the master plan requirements of having a 12-foot by 60-foot loading space.
“They really do not want that loading space,” said planning director Brent Wiegand. “So they have decided to file an entirely new master plan and preliminary plan with (a) request to not have the 12 by 60 loading space.”
Just over a year ago, the public hearing period for the plans opened, prompting requests to merge conceptual master with more detailed preliminary plan stages. It received only master plan approval, along with requests for engineering studies over a more detailed application.
Though a Planning Board meeting was held last Wednesday, the new preliminary plan review has yet to be heard.
