On-site Car Repair Start-up Wrench Declares Seattle Launch"Total Success", Plans Immediate Expansion and Added Services
In May Seattle-based Wrench executed a soft beta launch to test consumer demand for its new on-site car repair service and to ensure the efficacy of its innovative solution. After servicing more than a 1,000 cars, the Company emphatically got its answer and is immediately expanding its service throughout the greater Seattle-Tacoma-Everett metro area. Wrench is also preparing to expand its service to other western metro markets beginning with Phoenix this Fall.
Wrench allows people to schedule their service online or via their app with upfront fixed price quotes. A Wrench mechanic will perform the service at the customer’s home or office, saving people on average 2-3 hours of travel and service time. Wrench services all types of cars and trucks and all mechanics have passed background checks and are ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified.
According to Company co-founder and CEO Edward Petersen; “We learned from research that as many as 90% of car owners felt inconvenienced by their periodic trips to franchise shops and dealerships for car maintenance service. Our launch results confirmed the ready demand for a new approach. What surprised us was the amount of business particularly given the limited marketing investment we made.”
The summer soft launch has helped to guide Management to expand its product offering. Wrench had initially limited its services to oil changes, tune-ups and basic brake repair. However due to high demand the Company has now expanded services to cover almost anything that a shop or dealership would provide. In addition to the added convenience, Wrench can also deliver a significant price discount on car repair particularly when compared to typical charges at dealerships.
