As we head into 2016, I wanted to take a moment to reflect upon, and recognize, the achievements of our association in 2015.
- Implementation of Bryan White as Executive Director of AOCA. The results of which have been positive.
- Negotiation and creation of a co-located iFLEX 2016 with the International Carwash Association's The Car Wash Show, which will provide an expanded opportunity for our members to network and learn.
- Creation of comprehensive member benefit programs, including cost savings through Savings 4 Members and custom HR support through HR Affinity Group.
- Eliminated a 2015 operating deficit
Needless to say, 2015 was a good year for AOCA; none of which would have been possible without the dedication of our membership, volunteers and strong Board of Directors. For that, I thank each and every one of you.
I have some news regarding leadership to share. It is with a heavy heart that I announce I will be stepping down as Board President, effective immediately. Due to very recently selling my business, and per AOCA bylaws, I am no longer eligible to maintain this position.Vice President David Haney will be assuming the role of AOCA Board President.
I heartily thank the AOCA community for which I have served. I ask that you give David and this excellent board your full support. I have tremendous respect for David and know that he will step into this role with confidence. I look forward to watching as you capitalize on our progress from 2015, and grow into 2016 and beyond.
