Merlin 200,000 Miles Announces Woodstock Shop Reopened

The Merlin 200,000 Miles Shop in Woodstock, Ill. at 1216 Davis Road (815-337-1200) reopened this week on May 9 under new management by multi-unit Franchisee, Tim Williams, who’s been involved with Merlin since 1984. The now-open shop can generate previous customer’s service history and apply available ALLIANCE member rewards from enrolled customer accounts. Customers can schedule appointments by phone or online and walk-ins are welcomed. 

"I look forward to providing the superior level of service found in my other Merlin shops and that has been provided since the shop originally opened in 2009," said Williams.

Williams quickly became a multi-unit Franchisee after the first Merlin shop he purchased in Elgin, Ill. at 400 Dundee Ave. in December 2012. One year later he purchased his next two shops in Dekalb, Ill. at 1812 Sycamore Road and Carpentersville, Ill. at 8 S. Western Ave., which he sold to his General Manager, Luis Olmos last September. Additionally, Williams purchased the franchise rights to the shop in Loves Park, Ill. at 5590 E. Riverside Blvd. last year.

Prior to becoming a Franchisee, Williams worked at Merlin’s corporate office and held many operations and marketing positions. He was involved with the creation of Merlin’s first website, the establishment of Merlin’s marketing department and the initiation of Merlin’s Snug Hugs for Kids, the annual clothing drive supporting underprivileged children.

This shop marks Merlin's 33rd shop in the Chicagoland area. The chain also has locations in central Illinois, Wisconsin and Georgia. A Merlin 200,000 Miles Shop provides both repair and maintenance services, as well as tires, almost anything a consumer would need during the first 200,000 miles of their car's life. The shop in Woodstock is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
