License Plate Frame Offers Parking Sensors for the Masses
A San Francisco-based electronics startup has debuted a new license plate frame that doubles as a wireless parking sensor system for your car. The Parking Assist device starts at $120 and FenSens says it’s ideal for trucks and cars with recessed license plates. However, it comes with two sensors that have a narrower field of vision and can only detect objects that are immediately behind the car. The more expensive Fender Defender, which starts at $150, comes with four ultrasonic sensors with a field of vision that can cover the entire backside of a car.
