Standard Motor Products (SMP) Executive Chairman Larry Sills has been inducted into the Federated Auto Parts Vendor Hall of Fame.

“A number of words come to mind when I think of Larry Sills: ethical, trustworthy, friendly, highly intelligent and well-rounded,” said Bo Fisher, chairman of Federated Auto Parts. “Federated is very proud to be associated with Larry. He makes everyone feel special and he ‘walks the walk’ by treating people fairly. SMP has been a valued supplier over the years and Larry has been a strong supporter of the Federated membership. It is with great pleasure that we induct him into the Federated Vendor Hall of Fame.”

Prior to assuming his current role as executive chairman of SMP in March 2016, Sills held the positions of chairman and CEO from 2000 to 2016 and president and COO from 1986 to 2000. A highly-respected auto care industry leader, Sills has been an influential member of several industry organizations and currently serves on the University of the Aftermarket Foundation board of trustees. He has received many industry honors throughout his career and was most recently presented with the prestigious “Jack Creamer Leader of the Year” award by the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA).

The Federated Vendor Hall of Fame recognizes one individual each year who demonstrates dedication to excellence, helping make a difference for Federated and its members. For a list of recent inductees, visit http://www.federatedautoparts.com/HallOfFame.aspx.
