Prior to assuming his current role as executive chairman of SMP in March 2016, Sills held the positions of chairman and CEO from 2000 to 2016 and president and COO from 1986 to 2000. A highly-respected auto care industry leader, Sills has been an influential member of several industry organizations and currently serves on the University of the Aftermarket Foundation board of trustees. He has received many industry honors throughout his career and was most recently presented with the prestigious “Jack Creamer Leader of the Year” award by the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA).
