Benny’s Carwash and Oil Change is changing its logo and color scheme, dropping its 1950's-style pink and light blue neon cursive logo and even "carwash" for a bolder, cleaner design.

“Our existing logo, building, colors, and image had been in use since 1991. We thought that it was time for a change and a modernized look,” said Justin Alford, Benny’s co-owner with his brother Jason and father Benny.

Benny's was founded in 1951. The third-generation company has seven car washes, five oil change facilities and three B-Quik convenience stores in the Baton Rouge area. Celebrating Benny’s 65th year, the company decided it was time for a new look, Alford said. It worked with Massachusetts branding company BrandEquity.

Alford said new colors and designs are being used for its new carwash on Siegen Lane and in renovation plans for its existing locations in the coming year.
