Meineke Car Care Centers Inc. plans to open 13 new locations in the Rochester area over the next five years, the Charlotte, N.C.-based company said Monday.
The 43-year-old automotive repair franchise has nearly 1,000 centers in 48 states and seven countries. Company officials said Meineke is seeking single-and multi-unit franchise partners to operate the new locations and plans to add 13 facilities by 2021.
“After conducting extensive research, we have found that there is great growth potential and heavy demand for our services in Rochester,” said Meineke vice president of franchise development Ed Pearson. “We are looking for business-minded entrepreneurs with a variety of backgrounds who are seeking franchising opportunities in the booming aftermarket industry, with attractive center-level profitability.”
Pearson noted the company has programs that help with financing and encourage growth within its system. For qualified new franchise prospects who are committed to purchasing multiple licenses, Meineke will discount each license after the initial one and will reduce royalties by 75 percent for the first six months.
Meineke is owned by Driven Brands Inc., a $1 billion automotive holding company with more than 1,700 locations worldwide. Meineke focuses on tires, brake repairs, tune-ups and alignments, among other things.
The company has one location in the Rochester area, on Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Road in Henrietta.
