An Express Lube location was broken into recently for a fourth time since Aug. 1, according to employees.
A man used a screwdriver to break into the business at 3701 Colony Drive at 2:46 a.m.
“He's got a trash can or a bucket and you see he starts raking additives off (the shelf) and then you see him start taking stuff back out the window,” said Randy Smith, Express Lube district manager.
Smith estimates the thief stole $1,500 worth of tools and supplies.
“He grabbed some of these oil system cleaners,” Smith added.
Surveillance video captured the man walking out with his haul.
“He heads off, like, over by the dumpster area and you can tell like a car or something comes by because he actually ducks down behind the dumpster like he's hiding,” said Smith.
This is not the first time the oil change chain has been hit -- nor a thief caught on camera.
At the Express Lube at 1007 SE Military Drive, a man threw something through a window to break in and surveillance images appear to show him talking on a cellphone while inside.
Employees said that store was broken into Aug. 5, Aug. 30 and Sept. 3.
They’re now hoping pictures captured by cameras can put the brakes on the break-ins.
"You know, you just have people that come in here and do stuff like this to people who are working hard to try to get ahead,” Smith said. “It' not good.”
