Prestone® Products Corporation, a leader in underhood chemicals, is commencing a search for extraordinary vehicles to participate in an extensive rally throughout Los Angeles, covering ground from the historic Hollywood Hills to the scenic Pacific Coast Highway.
The rally, beginning the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 28, is a culmination of Prestone's year-long 90th anniversary celebration; and will include a celebratory cruise-in at the Petersen Automotive Museum, where the cars will be housed the night of Nov. 28.
The rally will continue the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 29, where a selection of top cars from the tour will be displayed at the Los Angeles Convention Center to jumpstart the second full day of AutoMobility LA; 2017, the annual trade show that precedes the 110th LA Auto Show.
This exclusive celebratory event will showcase all aspects of Southern California's world-famous car culture, featuring music and some of Los Angeles' most popular gourmet food trucks. Attendees will include media, influential icons, tastemakers, luminaries, collectors and celebrities.
Following the breakfast, Prestone's 1972 AMC Javelin AMX and custom yellow 1971 De Tomaso Pantera, both built by iconic custom car duo the Ringbrothers;, will lead the way as the top chosen cars are ultimately loaded into "The Garage," the LA Auto Show's one-of-a-kind destination featuring unique vehicles, specialty restoration services, tuner services, aftermarket parts and accessories, product demos, celebrity vehicles and more. The cars will be on display for the remainder of AutoMobility LA and the LA Auto Show Nov. 29-Dec. 10.
Rally participants will have the unique opportunity to be a part of a major milestone in Prestone's history, as it celebrates 90 years of underhood innovation and prominence in the American automotive industry. As a token of thanks, all rally participants will also be invited to explore the global car debuts and displays showcasing new technology and the future of mobility at AutoMobility LA, the exclusive press and trade event leading up to the LA Auto Show consumer days.
To align with Prestone's profound history, the company is looking for cars with a unique backstory, from barn finds to vehicles that have been passed down in families for generations, rare sports cars, hot rods, supercars and more.
