Celebrating more than nine decades of American ingenuity, the 2017 Chrysler 300 lineup delivers on the brand’s promise of style, sophistication, world-class quality and technology — all at an attainable value.

The 2017 Chrysler 300 features the TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission, which is standard on every model, delivering 30 miles per gallon highway fuel economy.

For 2017, the Chrysler 300 lineup consists of four models, all of which are available with Chrysler’s innovative AWD system: 300 Limited, 300S, 300C and 300C Platinum. Chrysler’s technologically advanced AWD system includes an active transfer case and front-axle-disconnect system to improve real-world fuel economy. This advanced AWD system seamlessly transitions between rear-wheel drive and AWD with no driver intervention to maximize fuel economy.

Sport mode instantly transforms the personality and performance of the Chrysler 300S, plus 300C with V8 and 300C Platinum models, by reducing shift times from approximately 400 milliseconds to 250 milliseconds, increasing engine and throttle responsiveness, providing a firmer steering feel and turning AWD “on” (if off) with AWD models for improved dynamics. For drivers who want even more performance from the Chrysler 300S, 300C or 300C Platinum models, the 5.7L Hemi V8 engine with four-cylinder mode Fuel Saver Technology delivers 363 horsepower, 394 pound-feet of torque, 0-60 miles per hour in less than 6 seconds and an EPA estimated 16 mpg city/25 mpg highway/19 combined. For drivers who want more handling capability, a performance tuned-suspension with increased spring rates, performance-tuned steering and bushings, larger sway bars (with V8 engine) and Goodyear Eagle F1 three-season tires is available on rear-wheel drive Chrysler 300S models.

The Chrysler 300S represents the brand’s appeal to a younger generation, offering more athletic and youthful appointments to the lineup thanks to a unique Pentastar V6 engine with paddle shifters and sport mode, touring-tuned (performance-tuned with a V8) suspension, blacked-out exterior accents, 20-inch Hyper Black wheels, leather-wrapped sport seats, exclusive Piano Black interior accents and a signature 10-speaker BeatsAudio system.

As the pinnacle of the Chrysler lineup, the 300C Platinum features Platinum Chrome finishes, 20-inch polished-aluminum wheels, sport mode with paddle shifters, a signature two-tone indigo and linen interior environment with quilted and perforated Nappa leather seats and door panels, hand-sanded natural pore wood, French accent stitching and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a unique chrome accent ring.

The 2017 Chrysler 300 comes with a slew of safety features such as a 360-degree perspective thanks to the SafetyTec Plus Group’s full-speed forward collision warning-plus, adaptive cruise control-plus with full stop, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross path detection and more.

In the interior, technology abounds. The all-new fourth-generation Uconnect System debuts smartphone integrations on all 2017 Chrysler 300 models. Apple CarPlay enables iPhone users to access Apple Maps, Messages, phone and Apple Music through Siri Voice control or the Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen. Android Auto enables easy and safe access to Google voice search, Google Maps and Google Play Music via the Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen or steering-wheel controls. The new Uconnect system includes performance improvements with faster startup time, enhanced processing power, vivid imagery, plus higher resolution and sharper graphics. The Uconnect touchscreen with navigation offer multitouch gestures with pinch, tap and swipe capability.

The entry-level Chrysler 300 Limited model carries a starting MSRP of $32,340. A top-of-the-line 300C Platinum, with a 5.7L Hemi V8 engine, the SafetyTec Plus Group, Uconnect Nav with 8.4-inch display, premium leather wrapped interior accents and an electric vehicle tracking system by Mopar, carries a price tag of about $42,490.

Servicing the 2017 Chrysler 300

The 2017 Chrysler 300 is equipped with an automatic oil change indicator system. Based on engine operation conditions, the oil change indicator message will illuminate. This means that service is required for the vehicle. Operating conditions such as frequent short-trips, trailer tow, extremely hot or cold ambient temperatures and E85 fuel usage will influence when the Change Oil message is displayed. Severe operating conditions can cause the change oil message to illuminate as early as 3,500 miles (5,600 km) since last reset. Under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km), 12 months or 350 hours of engine run time, whichever comes first. The 350 hours of engine run or idle time is generally only a concern for fleet customers.

Drivers should change the engine oil at 4,000 miles (6,500 km) if the vehicle is operated in a dusty and off-road environment or is operated predominantly at idle or only very low engine RPMs. This type of vehicle is considered severe duty.

At every oil change interval as indicated by the oil change indicator system:

  • Change oil and filter
  • Rotate tires
  • Inspect battery and clean and tighten terminals as required
  • Inspect brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, hoses and park brake
  • Inspect engine cooling system protection and hoses
  • Inspect exhaust system
  • Inspect engine air cleaner if using in dusty or off-road conditions

Every two years or 20,000 miles (32,000 km):

  • Inspect front suspension, tie rod ends, boot seals; replace, if necessary
  • Inspect rear axle fluid
  • Inspect front axle fluid (AWD only)
  • Inspect brake linings; replace as necessary
  • Adjust park brake on vehicles equipped with four-wheel disc brakes
  • Replace cabin/air conditioning filter

Every three years or 30,000 miles (48,000 km):

  • Inspect CV joints
  • Inspect transfer case fluid (AWD only)
  • Replace engine air filter

Every five years or 50,000 miles (80,000 km):

  • Change rear axle fluid, and on models equipped with AWD, change the front axle fluid if using the vehicle for any of the following: police, taxi, fleet, off-road or frequent trailer towing

Every six years or 60,000 miles (96,000 km):

  • Inspect transfer case fluid; change transfer case fluid if using vehicle for any of the following: police, taxi, fleet, off-road or frequent trailer towing (AWD only)

Every 10 years:

  • Replace spark plugs

Every 10 years or 100,000 miles (160,000 km):

  • Inspect and replace PCV valve, if necessary

Every 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km):

  • Flush and replace engine coolant
