The service component of Monro’s business makes it “well-insulated” from the rise of e-commerce, and install agreements help Monro reach new customers, Chief Executive Officer Brett Ponton said on a conference call Tuesday.

“We’re in the process of building our capability to make certain that this experience can be seamless, which is requiring a little behind-the-scenes work from a technology point of view,” Ponton told analysts. While Monro’s discussions with Amazon are proceeding slowly, “we intend to support that program,” he said.
