Tony Molla, vice president of Communications at the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), is leaving the ASE to accept the newly created post of vice president of the Automotive Service Association (ASA), effective May 11.
At the ASA, Molla will participate in industry events and build industry relations, the ASA said in a press release.
He also will work closely with the ASA Mechanical and Collision Operations Committees on their project and activities, and also perform other duties such as the ASA’s Secure Data Release Model, the association said.
“ASA is poised for growth, and adding a well-respected industry veteran with all-star caliber talent such as Tony will benefit ASA members and the industry,” said Dan Risley, ASA president and executive director.
Molla worked at ASE for 15 years, the ASA said. Before that, he spent nine years as editorial director of Motor Age and Automotive Body Repair News.
Based in Northern Virginia, Mr. Molla has a long-term plan of relocating to ASA headquarters in Texas, the association said.
North Richland Hills-based ASA describes its mission as advancing professionalism and excellence in the automotive repair industry through education, representation and member services.
