The fire is estimated to have caused between $500,000 and $1 million in damages. “There will be smoke, fire and water damage,” said Deputy Fire Chief Damon Jamieson, after most of the flames had been extinguished.

Firefighters from all five Cambridge stations responded to the call and worked through the night to put out hot spots.

Investigators began sifting through debris the following day, searching for the cause of the fire. It is not considered to be suspicious, according to a report from CTV News.

“It’s going to be out of commission for a while,” said Clive Hubbard, an investigator with the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management.

All 145 employees are expected to be offered work at other locations within the Suds/Jiffy Lube chain while the future of the Cambridge location is being determined.
