The accident happened just after 10 a.m. Friday morning, June 22, at the Valvoline Quick Oil Change on Elida Road. The driver and his passenger were transported to the hospital with what first responders say appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

According to officials at the scene, a Cadillac was traveling westbound on Elida Road when another vehicle caused the driver to lose control. The car traveled up and over the curb causing it to spin, striking the building and a flagpole with enough force to blow out the back window.

The Allen County Sheriff's Office and American Township Fire Department responded to the scene and the accident remains under investigation.
