In a check presentation on Thursday, October 11, 2018, the Board of Directors and other partners of the Chicagoland Jiffy Lube Co-op Association presented the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) with a check in the amount of $125,000, representing 2018 fundraising efforts. The donation represents funds raised through the Annual Chicagoland Jiffy Lube Golf Classic to benefit Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA Golf Classic), the annual Jiffy Lube Muscle Up! campaign and the second annual Chicago partnership.
In its third year, the 2018 MDA Golf Classic generated $105,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, up from the previous years, which raised $103,000 in 2017 and $86,000 in its inaugural year.
“Our objective is to enjoy time together with our valued business associates while raising funds to benefit a strong advocate of families experiencing muscle disease in our communities.” said Darrell Muscolino, President, Chicagoland Jiffy Lube Co-op Association. “It is an honor be involved with so many supporting the event making it possible for us to provide funding to MDA and make a difference in our communities.”
Jiffy Lube International, Pennzoil, Team Car Care and AutoCenter Sales were primary partners of the 2018 MDA Golf Classic held on Tuesday, September 19, 2018 at Bolingbrook Golf Club, Bolingbrook, IL, contributing a combined thirty percent of the total amount raised. The fourth annual Chicagoland Jiffy Lube Golf Classic to benefit Muscular Dystrophy Association is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2019 at Bolingbrook Golf Club.
