June 10, 2019—Fisher Auto Parts and RelaDyne announced new acquisitions recently.
Fisher acquires BFCP
Fisher Auto Parts co-President Herb Godschalk announced the acquisition of Burlington Foreign Car Parts on June 3, according to a press release.
BFCP operates six locations in Vermont, two in New Hampshire and one in New York. Adam Glaser, currently vice president of sales, will stay on following the acquisition and will continue to help grow the business.
"We are thrilled to transition our family business to the very capable hands of the Fisher team and I am excited to continue working and helping to grow the business,” Glaser said in the press release. “On behalf of the Glaser family, including my parents Tom and Jill, I would like to extend our upmost thanks and appreciation for all the effort and dedication that the BFCP team has put in over the last 46 years.
We also thank our very loyal customers and vendor partners for the roles they’ve had in our success.”
Fisher has added 19 other locations within the past year, including 11 in Michigan, three in Vermont and one each in Illinois, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Virginia. A member of the Automotive Parts Services Group/Federated Auto Parts, Fisher Auto Parts has approximately 500 company-owned locations and 100 independent jobbers in 18 states.
RelaDyne takes on Legacy Fueling and Lubricants
RelaDyne announced on June 5 that it acquired Texas-based Legacy, which provides lubricants, fueling services, dust control application services, and innovative quality control services, according to a press release.
Formerly Trés Lubrication Products, founded in 2011 in Victoria, Texas, Legacy offered the products and services to the Eagle Ford Shale marketplaces that no one else was offering. The company has since evolved into a comprehensive fuel and lubricants distributor and will expand RelaDyne’s geographic density in Texas, the release said.
“We have had a long, successful partnership with RelaDyne and are thrilled to officially be joining the RelaDyne family. Our team at Legacy is excited to experience the new opportunities that await as part of a larger distributor with such an advanced portfolio of products and services,” Legacy President Martin Leske said in the release. “We expect to integrate seamlessly with the existing teams in Louisiana and Texas and are primed for accelerated growth.”
