June 22, 2019—Texas developer Stonebriar Auto Services will build three Jiffy Lubes in the Normal-Bloomington area of Illinois.
The Pantagraph reports that the first shop should come in 2020.
"When you look at a map of places with no Jiffy Lube, central Illinois is kind of a hole," Steve Isom, executive vice president at Stonebriar, told the newspaper.
That first location will go into the up-and-coming Constitution Trail Centre in Normal. The town's city council is considering building plans for the shop.
The Pantagraph report said that Stonebriar also has plans for Jiffy Lube shops in Morton and Peoria, and the developer's appetite is for 150 shops nationwide.
