July 24, 2019—The South Bend Tribune interviewed Chris Christensen, a Jiffy Lube district manager who oversees 13 stories in Indiana and Illinois.

Christensen started as a tech in 1985 and worked his way up to the managerial position. During a visit to a shop in Mishawaka, the paper asked Christensen about his leadership skills.

He talks about the biggest challenges and rewards on the job and learning from a mentor early on in his career.

“Changing people’s oil and maintaining their cars is absolutely vital, and it’s great," he told the Tribune. "But I think in a bigger scheme of things, as a company we don’t want to be just people who change oil. We want to be people who change people’s lives."
