September 13, 2019— Meineke Car Care Centers is opening a new franchise location in Madison, Ala., with franchisee Sam Rung and his family. This is their 26th Meineke Car Care Center.
Rung retired from a career in hospital management and opened his first Meineke center in 2005 in Fairfield, Calif., after he took his own vehicle in for repairs at a local auto repair shop.
“Sam had a bad experience with a local repair shop,” said Zachary Williams, project development leader for the Rung family. “From that, he decided to become an entrepreneur and open his own Meineke Car Care Center. His goal was to run his shop more efficiently and provide his customers with a better experience than he had.”
Rung did just that. After 10 years of successful operations in Fairfield, Rung added six more locations in the Greater San Francisco bay area, then expanded his footprint to Washington State, Southern California and now Alabama. The Madison store is his 26th location, the second in the state of Alabama, and he has more planned.
The new eight-bay shop is located at 12801 Hatchett Road East in Madison, Ala. This location will add eight jobs to the Madison community.
