N.C. Midas Raising Money for People Hit by Dorian

One Midas employee is collecting items to light up homes that may be without power.

September 24, 2019—A chain of Midas shops out of Wilmington, N.C., has started a donation drive to benefit people affected by Hurricane Dorian.

WECT reports that Brad Odell launched the effort, which he calls "anything that will produce light, besides the word." He's collecting items to light homes, like candles, lanterns, flashlights and batteries.

“We just want to let the people in Ocracoke know we’re thinking about them down here in Wilmington," Odell told the news station. "Its very upsetting to think that your life could change in just an instant. Your vehicles, your clothes, everything that you cherish would be gone.”
