Dec. 17, 2019—Branding him as an "Okie From Muskogee," the Muskogee Phoenix published a profile of one of the town's local quick lube operators.
Kevin Flock started Quality 1 Lube and Repair in 1996, according to the story. He raises cattle and runs his small shop in the town of 38,000. He's also been racing cars since he was 16.
Like lots of longtime operators, Flock has built a community around his community shop.
"I started with guys 20 years ago and now I'm doing their kids' cars," he told the Phoenix. "I have a lot of customers who have been with me ever since I opened."
Flock told the paper that he takes great pride in his hometown, and you can typically find him working in the shop alongside his employees.
