iFLEX Cancelled Due to Coronavirus Guidance

March 10, 2020

The ongoing risk posed by the spread of COVID-19 has led the International Car Wash Association to cancel the event.

March 10, 2020—The International Carwash Association announced the cancellation of The Car Wash Show 2020 and by extension iFLEX, due to the risk posed by COVID-19, also known as coronavirus.

The announcement was made on March 10. The event was scheduled for April 6-8 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

“We are extraordinarily disappointed by having to make this decision,” said Eric Wulf, ICA Chief Executive Officer, in a press release. “But the latest guidance from public officials makes it clear that the most responsible decision is to put the safety of our guests first, and cancel the event for the original dates. We want to thank our exhibitors and show partners for their commitment and support during these challenging weeks, and we will continue to collaborate with them through this situation.”

The ICA relied on the updated information from federal authorities, who have increased recommendations that large gatherings be postponed.

The press release says that the ICA is still working to determine any exhibit space and sponsorship refunds. Badge registration costs for attendees will be refunded to the credit cards used to purchase, according to the release.

The Car Wash Show and iFLEX 2021 are scheduled for March 24-26 in Las Vegas.
