Many companies in the industry are joining in to help in the fight against the coronavirus, like Shell, ExxonMobil, and Chevron.

April 6, 2020—Many companies in the industry are joining in to help in the fight against the coronavirus, according to a report at Nasdaq.

According to a press release from Shell, the company says it was diverting resources to the increased production of isopropyl alcohol, which is the primary ingredient in hand sanitizer. The company also said it is offering free food and drink to healthcare professionals, truck drivers, and delivery personnel at 15,000 retail locations around the globe.

ExxonMobil is another company that is aiding in this time of need. According to a report from World Oil, the company has teamed up with the Global Center for Medical Innovation to develop safer, reusable personal protection equipment for healthcare workers, such as face shields and masks.

Chevron also announced via a press release that the company has distributed more than $7 million to food banks, education services, and healthcare services.
