Matthews Tire presented Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin with a check for $2,635 after raising the funds through its Oil Change for the Better event.
Matthews Tire pledged to donate $5 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin for every regular price oil change it completed from June 8-13. The donation will go to the club's REACH program, which offers more than 100 mentors and kids educational group activities that aim to enhance the mentor-student connection.
"With the support of local businesses such as Matthews Tire, we can make a difference in the lives of so many deserving children," Big Brothers Big Sisters Community Relations Director Kristen Mihaljevic said in a news release.
Matthews Tire locations in Green Bay, Appleton, Menasha, Fond du Lac and Waupaca participated in the sixth annual Oil Change for the Better program.
